More flats for @tgqwestlondon. The original plan was for 3,750. Now they are going to build exactly double that number: 7,500. That will mean up to 30,000 new residents, nearly half the existing (official) population of Southall. 5,000 more cars. thegreenquartercommunity.co.uk/public-consult… x.com/DvdMrsdn/statu…

Either way, it seems entirely disingenuous to publicly thank Berkeley Group for sponsoring an event that they haven’t in fact sponsored. In effect, the Mayor is giving a prohibited sponsor (Berkeley Group) free good publicity for sponsoring an event they didn’t sponsor.

The Mayor quite clearly states that he “thanks Berkeley Group for sponsoring” the event. That can only mean, to any reasonable person, that Berkeley Group offered him the money, and he accepted it. If that is not the case, then the Mayor needs to retract his public statement.

Which begs the question: Why is Peter Mason approved Ealing Labour election candidate and Berkeley Group Community Liaison Officer Jags Sanghera offering money to Ealing Council in breach of councillors' code of conduct and council policy?
