@ThatGinaLeone @LondonFoodFinds They’re not allowed to say anything. And/or they don’t want to say anything. From the #EalingLabourLeaks whatsapp messages, I’m sure they’re all just biding their time until Mason is either elevated to the House of Commons or removed, hopefully hoist by his own petard.

@reksbaycur @Layo_FH @physrj @LondonFoodFinds @girasole_l Hmm… so a twenty minute walk to Southall station (make that 30 minutes with kids and bags/equipment. 5 minutes on the train to Hanwell (assuming we don’t have to wait or miss our train). Then another 30-40 minutes walking to the Sharma Arena in the pissing rain. It’s doable.

@Layo_FH @girasole_l @physrj It’s not daft or baseless at all. Both current and former leader took tens of thousands from developers. Current one later said it was a “mistake”. Then there’s the Gasworks development, which they were all against on environmental and health grounds until MP did deal with Boris.

@Layo_FH @girasole_l @physrj I think the fact that Southall FC have been successful in groundsharing for so long, as have QPR ladies and numerous other London teams, shows that having a “local” ground isn’t necessary. Many of these grounds are more accessible to public transport than WF.

@Layo_FH @girasole_l @physrj That’s what happened with Southall FC’s old ground, at one time the best non-league stadium in the country. Sold off to developers, now home to the second saddest playground in London.

@Layo_FH @girasole_l @physrj It’s called corruption. Ealing can’t do any of that because they don’t have any money. They have agreed a plan for sports facilities, and are now looking for developers to propose something that fits their plan. Meanwhile, they been “negotiating” with Southall FC for years.

@physrj @Layo_FH @girasole_l Ealing Council famously don’t have any money, and neither they nor Southall FC have a track record of being financially able to maintain two of the best sports grounds in London (at their level). So not much confidence in either.
