Looks like I upset whoever it is (a child?) that is running the @EalingLabour Twitter account, as they’ve now blocked me. x.com/DvdMrsdn/statu…
Read more@mo6020 @philliphilton Honestly, I’m amazed and delighted by how good it is. I’d actually forgotten and thought it was because I’ve gone partly deaf, got old, etc. I never even really liked REM, for example, but now when I listen to Murmur it’s just an out of this world album. Same with Radiohead.
Read more@mo6020 @philliphilton @GrahamsHiFi @FiiO_official Oh, man, I am such a poor judge, but learning from my mistakes - lossy audio, crap hardware/software - I have rediscovered love of listening to music in the last year or so. Got a Dragonfly Black USB DAC first, getting as much music as I can on flac, makes such a difference.

You asked me to explain what I meant and I answered you. 200 tweets? LOL, OK. I think you are exaggerating slightly (acting out, perhaps?). What is your affiliation with Berkeley Group, btw? You seem to be quite the fan!

Read more@Neferure1 @_petermason @lisanandy I’m not against councillors being remunerated if they are doing a good job, although there is a risk they become dependent on the income, and therefore less likely to ‘rock the boat’. Trust me, I have been asking, and will continue to do so. And we await the local elections…
Read more@Neferure1 @_petermason @lisanandy Because councillors in my ward, in particular, have a very poor reputation among residents - my neighbours - for doing anything at all to represent our concerns, or to stand up for our rights. Mason appears to be far too busy with his other interests to attend to ward matters.
Read more@Neferure1 @_petermason @lisanandy They are supposed to do 5-20 hours a week on ward work, but I very much doubt any of them do anything like that. So it’s not a bad rate. Mason, who I was referring to here, sits on a number of committees and chairs at least one, so he will be handsomely remunerated for doing so.
Read more@Neferure1 @_petermason @lisanandy Yes. When they sit on or chair a few committees it all starts to add up.
Read more@EalingCouncil @MartynQuaker @JoGriffin2 For clarity, earthworks started in November 2016. So it makes no sense to compare the periods you have done and then claim it shows here is nothing to see.

That’s when they started digging up the contaminated land. So to say as Ealing Council has done, that they are comparing health data from April 2016 to March 2017 to April 2017 to March 2018 makes no sense.
