I think LTNs were a massive failure in Ealing (and elsewhere) at achieving those objectives, and the undemocratic way they were implemented was just wrong (and cost the local council Leader here his job of ten years).

Southall Green is a High Traffic Neighborhood. One of Cllr Mason’s first and only priorities in Southall was to improve HGV access on residential roads, and encourage cars to use ‘rat runs’ to ease congestion on main roads.
