Unfortunately for Liar Bell (and Mik Sabiers, who we’ll come back to), he told councillors the London Ambulance Service were consulted about LTNs. It obviously didn’t go down well when it was discovered that wasn’t true. From the Labour councillors' WhatsApp group chat: t.co/H1vx83Wcf…
Read moreA little background. In 2020, then Ealing Labour Leader Julian Bell said he wanted to take advantage of covid (youtu.be/DsyWxI-krO4) to get £1m of funding to make LTNs permanent. More details here: dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8… t.co/wzRRukpcj…
Read moreAlso going to take it slow, so maybe more of a drip, drip drip than a full on Wikileaks style dump. These are from unofficial Ealing Labour councilllor group chats from the time of current leader Mason’s failed coup attempt in 2020, to his successful second attempt in 2021.
Read moreA couple things before I get started. My source has obviously said that it’s ok to publish these. I’ve edited the screenshots to remove some names. I don’t want to embarrass people unnecessarily, or make them feel like they are being attacked. Focus is on Labour leadership.

Read more@Lawek75 Are you interested? ;) I suspect you are right that most won’t be interested. But I think there is a ‘public interest’ in publishing them, even if it’s only a small fraction of the voters who care enough to see them.

Read more@benwesson @_petermason @MetTVH Yes, makes a change. Can you tell Southall residents why it took Ealing Labour Council FIVE YEARS to install independent air quality monitoring at the toxic old gasworks site where residents have complained of asthma, headaches, nausea, eye and throat irritation, and more?
Read moreIs anyone interested in seeing a selection of leaked WhatsApp group messages from some Ealing Labour councillors? An inside look at what they really think about Bell, Mason, Sharma? The institutional bullying and corruption they kept quiet for years? #EalingLabourLeaks
Read more@DrAyshaRaza @VirendraSharma @kamnagpal @EalingCouncil Sharma told residents that what Ealing Council delivers for them is not his responsibility.
Read more@milh0use @PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK @EalingCustSer Ealing Labour Council have no interest at all in collecting data and evidence to support any investigation and proper response to the same old issues that residents complain about for twenty years and more.
Read more@milh0use @PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK @EalingCustSer I really don’t see why not. I don’t see why @EalingCustSer can’t do it when necessary or asked. Not everyone can use the 24/7 app, it’s very complicated and time consuming, the website forms equally. It’s a system designed to prevent reporting. We know this in Southall.
Read more@milh0use @PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK I think most of them are active on Twitter. The council as a whole needs to embrace different ways of engaging with the residents it serves. @EalingCustSer for example, are generally very responsive and helpful, but also fall back on “please use 24/7 app or website reportit”
Read more@milh0use @PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK They may not be required to respond on Twitter, but they often do to selected/favoured people. Once challenged on anything (however respectful) they claim they are being attacked.
Read more@LoveRat15 @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK No, I’m not defending them. I responded to Paul’s original trolling response to @EalingIndys tweet. Paul claimed trolling, but it’s clear he does that a lot (rightly or wrongly), and there’s nothing in the screenshot he responded to that I referenced to indicating trolling, imo.

No problem with calling out abuse, rudeness, misogyny, homophobia, but always a good idea to provide supporting evidence. Read more@PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK There are only 12 non-Labour councillors. @GregoryStafford and @JonBall are usually very responsive, certainly two that come immediately to mind. The parties whip their councillors to toe the party line (and into silence) regardless of what’s in the interests of residents.
Read more@PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK @EalingLabour Paul, this is you aggressively trolling @EalingIndys. You’re a councillor. You’re trolling local residents who are actually standing up to be counted in the election and belittling them for doing so. Well done. t.co/FOOsqGsCB…
Read more@PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK I was in a similar position in 2018 when I started to ask questions. Not new to the area, but new to taking an active interest. My first encounter with Mason at my ward forum, he told me and others complaining about toxic gasworks to be quiet and for us to be good neighbours.
Read more@PoochEaling @PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK That would be nice and what I would expect. What we found in Southall, however, is that no one wants to engage with us at all. Never have done. Finding many in the rest of Ealing with similar experiences. Seems to be an Ealing Labour policy to avoid answering any questions.
Read more@PaulConlanUK @EalingIndys @RupaHuq @EalingShopping @indienetworkuk @ElectoralCommUK Agreed. So why do you describe @EalingIndys and others as trolls? Who have they abused or called names?

Labour has no solutions.
